National Tree Day!

What could be more natural than, smack-dab in the middle of National Forest Week, the designation of National Tree Day?

Most trees, like this fine specimen of Horse Chestnut, are still in their full summer glory. But we won't have to wait long now for the Fall colours to arrive.

National Tree Day is being supported and publicized by Tree Canada.

Their suggestions for ways to celebrate include: volunteer, plan an event, plant a tree, donate, shop green, and tell your story.
